If there’s one thing Tottenham could do without, it is Jack Grealish returning from injury for Aston Villa.

Spurs travel to Villa Park on Sunday for a must-win game. If they lose, the Londoners can likely kiss goodbye any hopes of finishing in the top four – some might say that ship has already sailed.

The pressure will be on Jose Mourinho, as well as the team, if Tottenham fail win this weekend. After hugely damaging defeats to Arsenal and Dinamo Zagreb, Mourinho’s job security will surely take a massive hit if things don’t go well at Villa.

Mourinho’s men will see the match as winnable, especially if Grealish doesn’t play – and it looks like that could be the case.

According to Sky Sports, the Villa captain faces a race against the clock to feature against Spurs after missing the last five weeks of action with a shin injury. It seems he has a 50/50 chance of passing a late fitness test, which makes him a doubt.

Grealish’s absence will help Tottenham’s cause, but of course Mourinho will be without a star of his own, with Son Heung-min unlikely to play a part due to a hamstring problem.
