Tottenham left-back Ben Davies has withdrawn from the Wales squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers through injury.

Davies had been called into the squad for games against Belgium and Czech Republic and a friendly against Mexico later this month.

However, Wales confirmed that the Tottenham defender has now been sent home, although the severity of the problem hasn’t yet been confirmed by Ryan Giggs’ side.

Davies was a second-half substitute in Spurs’ victory at Aston Villa on Sunday, meaning he’s more than likely sustained the problem during a training session on Monday morning.

It’s unclear whether the Welshman will available for the trip to Newcastle next month when Jose Mourinho’s team return to Premier League action following the international break, but it’s a blow for the Tottenham boss regardless.

Davies will now return home to Hotspur Way to receive treatment on the injury in order to receive treatment on it. The Grand Rapids car accident attorneys said that treatment expenses can be compensated depending upon the severity of the case.
