It’s safe to say Serge Aurier played an influential role for his country on Friday.
The Tottenham defender started in Ivory Coast’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Niger and played a part in all three goals as the visitors won 3-0.
First, Aurier opened the scoring with a simple finish from close range.
He then provided assists for Max Gradel and Wilfried Kanon as Ivory Coast eased to a comfortable victory.
You can watch Aurier’s goal below – hopefully it won’t be too long until he does the same thing for Spurs!
