Tottenham’s top four pursuit will continue on Sunday when they host Manchester United in the Premier League, and Jose Mourinho has a number of decisions to make regarding his team selection.

The XI against Newcastle, which was unchanged from the win at Aston Villa, simply didn’t work, nor did the changes Mourinho made during the draw at St. James’ Park.

That said, we think it’s rather obvious Carlos Vinicius will drop out for Son Heung-min for the Manchester United game.

Son looked far from match fit when he came on for the second half against Newcastle, but hopefully a week of training will have increased his sharpness for this crucial match.

There is a good chance that will be the only change from Newcastle, with the rest of the team staying exactly the same.

That means Japhet Tanganga, Davinson Sanchez, Joe Rodon and Sergio Reguilon will sit in front of Hugo Lloris, while Pierre Emile Hojbjerg and Tanguy Ndombele will be the central midfield partnership.

Son will join Giovani Lo Celso, Lucas Moura and Harry Kane in attack.

Here’s our predicted XI to face Manchester United – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments section below.

  1. I agree. Sanchez has to go, he’s a disaster waiting to happen every time he either has the ball or faces an opponent. Definitely Alderveireld plays, after all he plays in the centre for Belgium arguably the number one team in the world.

Also, possibly Aurier in for Tanganga.

  2. I believe we need a steady, experienced hand at the back. So, play Rodon or Sanchez with Alderweireld. Or perhaps bring Tanganga inside – not sure his favourite or best position yet. Only concern is who to put at RB? Aurier worries me, but maybe Alderweireld can remind him gently in French, ‘Ne fais pas les betises et causez des penaltes banales!’ My two cents/pence.

  3. Alderweirald has to replace Sanchez, otherwise we will lose and please ensure that some of our youth players get a chance to come on as subs COYS

  4. If Sanchez plays then save the cost of the trip and give them the 3 points now. He simply does not have the required quality.

  5. Great for man utd fans, they will just target sanchez, easy 3 points for them.Play the same x1,if possible, that started for 6-1 win at old trafford, they just went for it and united couldn’t cope with it.

  6. Manager playing to get the sack,as he keeps leaving Bale out, when he is back in form and playing great football, keeps changing mid field and defence.I now don’t watch my team as its to frustrating and the football is so second rate.

  7. Toby lost his pace. So will go Sanchez and Toby. Rodon is Toby replacement.. but lacking in pace against Mason and Marcus.

  8. Sanchez playing again, easy win for united, think mourinho is looking for the sack so he can top up his bank account.
