Tottenham face Manchester City in the League Cup final this weekend, and interim manager Ryan Mason has a number of decisions to make regarding his team selection.

That said, we think Mason will make just one change to the line-up that started against Southampton on Wednesday – but it all depends on one man’s fitness.

If he recovers from an ankle injury in time, Harry Kane will start. The talismanic striker will likely replace regular starter Lucas Moura in the XI.

That’s because it’s virtually impossible to drop Gareth Bale after his impact against Southampton. The Welshman possesses that moment of magic that could hurt Man City.

What’s more, Mason will be depending on Giovani Lo Celso’s hard work in midfield, so there is simply no room for Lucas.

Of course, if Kane isn’t quite fit enough to play then Lucas will deputise up front once again, partnering Son Heung-min.

The rest of the team effectively picks itself. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Tanguy Ndombele will sit in front of a back four consisting of Sere Aurier, Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier and Sergio Reguilon. Hugo Lloris will captain the side as usual.

Here’s our predicted XI to face Man City – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments section below.

    • Talk sense please. You sounding like a novice. What is an academy player going to do at this stage. There is Lamela and Bergwjin. What you said is just rubbish. Do you actual read the rest of the comments or you just deposit filth and leave.

  1. I thought that when Mason came in we would change and make the team stronger
unfortunately it seems as though i and many supporters are going to be disappointed
if the likes of Dier and not Rondon are selected i just hope we don’t play the match with Winks
and OR five Defenders because if we do i fear the worst i just hope i am Wrong

    • A good formation 433 or 4123 with Winks actually works. The former manager had us sitting on our 18 yards line and Winks and Tanguy to a lesser extent are defensively challenge. Dier unfortunately is a better choice with Toby over Randon at this point and zi think Maso. Will keep the setup. I like what he did with Serge having him sat in on the right and Requilon attacking on the left knowing Bale does not have the legs to come back in defense. If you look at Bale during the week he enddd up in the mid field coming back. When Lloris has the ball it gives him time to move up the flank. This the best team on paper with a fit Kane.

  2. Rodon can’t play Dave, he’s cup tied from Swansea. The centre back saga carries on. But I just hope we have a go and not go out with a whimper. COYS

  3. Dele instead of Lo Celso and Sissoko instead of Hojbjerg with Lamela and Moura double sub at 69 mins and we will have the final sown up.

    • No, no, no, Sissoko hides & panics in possession. He cannot wait to get rid of the ball. He’s a strong athlete but no footballer! Absolute liability.

  4. Cant believe.
Are you serious Deli for Celso.
    Sissoko for Hoijberg.
Dont know what you been watching.
Deli has only played one decent game against an obscure outfit from Liverpool in a back garden pitch.
Hoijberg has bern our best player.
Dont like Dier but its him or Sanchez.
    Both a disaster in boots.

  5. I would play Tangana at right back instead of the liability Aurier. Moura has been very decent in the middle hole of late & offers something different with his slalom dribbling.

  6. Sorry but for me it’s lloris tanganja dier(not by choice, regullion, hoijberg, winks , ndombele,
    Son, dele, lo Celso, bale
