Tottenham are interested in signing Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzik this summer but may to spend big to get him, according to reports in Germany.
Kalajdzik has scored 14 goals in 29 Bundesliga appearances so far this season – that’s an average of just below a goal every other game.
German outlet Tag 24 claims Spurs and RB Leipzig are among the clubs interested in signing the 23-year-old in the coming months.
However, it is believed Stuttgart could demand a ‘crazy’ transfer fee for their star man, which means Tottenham could be priced out of a move.
The Londoners could find themselves in a familiar conundrum this summer when it comes to signing a new striker.
If Harry Kane remains at the club, they will need to bring somebody in who is happy to play second fiddle to the England captain.
That’s assuming Carlos Vinicius returns to Benfica following a mixed loan spell in which he has scored just one Premier League goal.
Perhaps Spurs would be better off targeting a striker who can play alongside Kane – it remains to be seen if Kalajdzik is that player.
