Gareth Bale scored a superb hat-trick as Tottenham returned to winning ways following an easy 4-0 victory over Sheffield United.

Heung Min Son completed the rout with a fine late strike as Ryan Mason’s side moved up to fifth in the Premier League.

Here’s how every Spurs player rated on the night.

Hugo Lloris, 6 – Besides one second-half save from Oliver Norwood, the Frenchman saw little action.

Serge Aurier, 8 – Really solid showing from the right-back, who claimed two assists for Bale.

Toby Alderweireld, 7 – His passing was on point, on of which created Son’s disallowed goal, whilst he defensively sound.

Eric Dier, 7 – Dominant in the air, and did everything that was required of him.

Sergio Reguilon, 7 – Got forward well and should have scored his first Tottenham goal in the final seconds but curled wide.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, 8 – Won the ball back countless times and did plenty of good work for his team.

Giovani Lo Celso, 6 – Saw lots of the ball, but didn’t little with it before he was replaced having been stamped on by John Fleck.

Dele Alli, 6 – Had some bright moments, but showed little quality in key areas.

Gareth Bale, 10 – Outstanding display of finishing from the Welshman, who took home the match ball following three clinical strikes.

Son Heung-min, 8 – Unfortunate not to double Spurs’ lead earlier in the second-half, but made up for it with a brilliant long-range effort. Assisted Bale’s second, too.

Harry Kane, 6 – Strange night for the England captain, who, bizarrely, didn’t get many clear cut chances to extend his lead in the race for the Golden Boot.

Substitutes

Harry Winks, 6 – Kept things ticking over in the middle.

Steven Bergwijn, 7 – Assisted Son’s goal.

Erik Lamela, N/A – Replaced Alli late on.

  1. After watching that, it was a good result but I wouldn’t say we played particularly well. In the summer I’d sell Dele, Lo Celso, Lamela, Winks and Bergwijn they just aren’t good enough. As for the defence, I’d sell Aurier, Doherty, Davies, Dier, Sanchez and Alderweireld and even Lloris, we need a massive rebuild, but we need a decent manager to over see it with backing from the board, what are the chances of that happening?

    • Tony your dreams are simular to my dreams.
Only point is we support Spurs.
Levy has created a Business not a football club.
We threw away the money from the sale of Bale.
Our recruitment policy is no better now with the likes of Fernandes Sessingyon and the rest you picked.
Levy playing Alli Winks Bergwin to up their sale value.
      He is Poison.

  2. Spurs are short of cash to rebuild so will need to sell but more than three changes would unbalance any team. 1 for midfield and two for defence but keep Hugo for another year.

Keep Mason as manager bur offer the job to Potticino who only had an 18 month contract at PSG….

    Remove ENIC and Levy…
