Tottenham want to appoint a new manager in the next 7-10 days, according to Football London.

Ryan Mason has been in temporary charge ever since Jose Mourinho was sacked last month.

The interim head coach finished on a high on Sunday, leading Spurs to a 4-2 win at Leicester City to seal a somewhat undesirable place in next season’s Europa Conference League.

Nonetheless, the victory brought some much needed positivity at the end of a difficult campaign, and it seems the club will now press on with appointing a new manager.

Football London claims Tottenham have finally identified a leading candidate, who they want to appoint in the coming days – possibly by the end of the month.

The problem is that this mystery manager is currently employed elsewhere (as is Spurs’ second choice, apparently), so the Londoners will have to agree compensation to take him away from his current club.

All of which means things could drag on a bit longer than 7-10 days. Let’s just hope it isn’t too long so Tottenham can begin their summer transfer business as soon as possible.

  1. “Brendon Rogers would be mad to leave Leicester” I keep hearing. Rogers you wimp. Stop hiding behind a low expectation no pressure little club and come back up here and play with the high expectation big boys. Clubs with big history no matter how recent (not clubs that have only had a good few recent years. Leicester starting to get too big for their boots and I’m starting not to like them. One fan even said to me that pep would chose them over Tottenham (the biggest club in the best city in the world. (Celtic are a bigger club than little leicester who’ll never win anything in europe and probaly wont ever win the league again. “Leicester are bigger than THFC” nonsense. Brendon after the Liverpool bout (which got you bashed up a bit) its time for you to return to a massive massive club again with aspirations to match. We are now in the position financially to back you properly as the highest net spenders since at our new stadium proves. so don’t judge us on any pre new stadium managers kitty. Come build us a team to seriosly challenge in europe the season after next. Leed us back in to Europe with pride to take back what we the original english european team killer first took. (EUROPE) no european mission will be taken lightly and will always come before the league as our history dictates. (I do expect us to win the league too obviously) domestic cup mustn’t be taken lightly either) WE ARE A CUP SIDE by trade and the tools of are trade is swagger. Anyway back to now. I’ll sell any player you don’t want and replace him with players you do want. (I’m sure you already know what needs to be done here and how to do it) you can bring couple of them Leicester players wiv ya want. Brendon you can do at Tottenham what many managers couldn’t since we “shook up the world in the swinging 60s (shout out to Mary quant) money will be available Brendon and a dof will be arriving soon too. Its time for me to stop interfering in footballing matters and focus solely on making money for footballing people like yourself to spend. Oh and Brendon I ask you of two things before I totally stop interfering. One. Ndombelle. Please get him fit and happy he’s a joy to watch. Two. Marcus Edwards. The club failed him. The club failed to bring the best out of one of our best and most talented/promising youngsters ever. I’d like to bring him back to where he belongs. home
