Hugo Lloris is among Jose Mourinho’s goalkeeper targets at AS Roma this summer, according to reports in Italy.
Mourinho was sacked by Tottenham in April but quickly returned to management with Roma, where he will take charge at the beginning of next season.
With that in mind, Mourinho will probably be watching the Euros with transfer targets in mind – and it sounds like he could raid his old club for a bit of experience.
Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport claims Lloris is one of three goalkeepers Mourinho will keep tabs on over the summer.
Lloris was Mourinho’s first-choice goalkeeper during his time in north London, getting the nod in league fixtures and even cup and European games ahead of Joe Hart.
However, the report says Mourinho and Roma are also looking at former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, currently of Juventus.
That means Szczesny, by joining his former club Roma, could end up helping Spurs keep Lloris.
In any case, Tottenham will probably make efforts to keep Lloris so that they don’t have to buy a new goalkeeper in the near future.
