Tottenham’s new director of football Fabio Paratici is expected to tell midfielder Harry Winks that he’s up for sale this summer.

Winks endured the toughest of his four years in the first-team last term, making just nine Premier League starts, which resulted to him missing out on Gareth Southgate’s Euro’s squad.

Football Insider believe that Spurs would accept around £30m for the Academy graduate, who still has three years remaining on his contract in north London.

Winks did make 30 appearances last season, one of which came when he was a surprise inclusion in Ryan Mason’s team for the Carabao Cup final, but he generally found himself behind Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Tanguy Ndombele and Moussa Sissoko in the pecking order.

His lack of opportunities led to links with a January loan move to Valencia, with his place in the England squad in doubt.

But Jose Mourinho didn’t allow the midfielder to leave due to the number of games, with Tottenham still fighting on all four fronts at the time despite Winks questioning him about his lack of minutes.

However, the Insider believe that talks are already underway about Winks being moved on this time around.

  1. A player who sadly thinks he is better than he is. No offence to him but would be better at wolves or a mid table team.

  2. We are a mid table team!! This boy has lost his way at the moment. I have seen him play live many times & he reads the game, covers holes where needed & can pass. The thing he needs to work on is passing forward positively plus having confidence. Hojberg gets all the praise but is a square & back passer but never gets slagged off. Technically always square on facing our goal rather than side on so has little idea of what’s behind him. Emperors clothes – he will be found out in time when rose glasses removed.
