Nuno Espirito Santo is Tottenham’s latest managerial target, according to reports in Italy.
The former Wolves manager has been out of work since leaving Molineux at the end of last season following a disappointing final campaign in the Midlands.
And Italian outlet Sport Mediaset is claiming Spurs have now set their sights on the Portuguese coach.
All the report says is that Tottenham have ‘identified’ Nuno as a target, so it’s unclear whether talks have actually begun.
Meanwhile another Italian publication, Tuttosport (as relayed by Sport Witness), has revealed a new reason for the breakdown in discussions between Spurs and Gennaro Gattuso.
They reject claims that a social media backlash was responsible for the deal’s collapse.
Instead, they believe Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy and those close to him blocked the attempts of new director of football Fabio Paratici to hire Gattuso.
Levy and Co. apparently had their doubts before some Spurs fans voiced their discontent at the potential appointment.
The soap opera continues… Stay tuned for updates.
But what is it? You expect readers to continue to waste their time on speculation. I wish i could take anything reported here serious
