Tottenham could yet move for Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic, according to reports in Italy.
On Sunday we relayed a talkSPORT story that claimed Spurs have finally struck a £43 million deal with Atalanta for Cristian Romero.
But it seems the Londoners remain keen on raiding another Serie A club to further strengthen their options at centre-back.
Italian outlet La Nazione says Tottenham are interested in Milenkovic, who could be available for a cut-price fee this summer.
That’s because he only has one year remaining on his contract, and so Spurs are now pondering the best time to make their move.
Apparently Fiorentina valued Milenkovic, a 23-year-old Serbia international, at €35 million last summer when Manchester City were interested in signing him.
But Tottenham could sign him for a lot less in the coming weeks, though there is no indication as to exactly how much he will cost.
Either way, it’s promising to see Spurs attempting to strengthen at centre-back following Toby Alderweireld’s exit.
Romero seems like he is almost definitely joining, but another option like Milenkovic would be great to have in the squad.
That will be good for us. I will not pay the sum for Adam Triore though. He is not worth more than 10 mill. Cody will be a brilliant addition to our defence. I will rather spend the money on him than on Adam.
