Harry Kane could play a part for Tottenham against Manchester City on Sunday, if the words of Nuno Espirito Santo and other reports are to be believed.
On Monday, Nuno told Sky Sports News: “All the players that are in the squad are available [for Sunday’s match]”.
And according to The Athletic, Spurs expect Kane to re-join his teammates for group training on Thursday, meaning the England captain could feature against City.
Pep Guardiola has confirmed City’s interest in signing Kane, who is currently training alone at Hotspur Lodge while he self isolates after returning from an extended holiday.
Because of his delayed return, coupled with speculation about a move to City, it had been deemed unlikely that Kane would be available for Sunday’s Premier League curtain raiser.
But now it looks like the 28-year-old could play some sort of part, whether in the starting line-up or from the bench.
It will be interesting to see what kind of reception Kane receives, both from the Tottenham supporters and the visiting City fans.
