Tottenham begin their Europa Conference League journey with a trip to Ligue 1 outfit Rennes on Thursday.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s team secured their place in the group stages of the competition after beating Pacos de Ferreira 3-1 on aggregate in the play-off round last month.
But Spurs have seen their unbeaten Premier League run ended since that tie and will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to Crystal Palace on Sunday in France.
However, whilst Santo is expected to make changes ahead of the crucial clash with Chelsea in north London on Sunday, the Tottenham boss confirmed that Ryan Sessegnon, Eric Dier and Heung Min Son haven’t travelled to Rennes and will miss the game.
Sessegnon hasn’t featured since suffering a knock in training whilst away with England U21s, whilst Dier hobbled out of the game at Selhurst Park last weekend with a dead leg and is therefore unavailable.
Meanwhile, Son remains sidelined after injuring his calf with South Korea, but is hoping to return against Chelsea on Sunday.
When asked about his team news ahead of the Conference League tie, Santo said: “I can tell you who didn’t travel. Sonny, Dier, Sessegnon so that’s it.” (via Football.London).
