Tottenham start their Carabao Cup campaign when they travel to Wolves in the third round on Wednesday night.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have already won once at Molineux this season following their 1-0 success last month, but Spurs have lost each of their last two Premier League games and will therefore be hoping to bounce back and progress to the fourth round.
Despite the north London derby coming up this Sunday, we expect Santo to name a strong change, although he remains without Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura.
Pierluigi Gollini will make his competitive debut, whilst Japhet Tanganga, fresh from serving a one-match ban , Davinson Sanchez, Joe Rodon and Ben Davies will all come into the XI.
Moving forward, we think that Oliver Skipp will be recalled and replace Dele Alli in the only change to the front six players that were beaten by Chelsea.
With Tottenham desperately hoping to end their long wait for silverware this season, Heung Min Son and Harry Kane are likely to start the cup tie, whilst Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele will get more valuable minutes and another chance to prove their fitness.
Here’s our predicted XI to face Wolves – Gollini, Tanganga, Rodon, Sanchez, Davies, Hojbjerg, Skipp, Ndombele, Son, Lo Celso, Kane.
