Tottenham travel to Arsenal for the first north London derby of the season on Sunday, and Nuno Espirito Santo has a number of decisions to make regarding his team selection.
In all probability, Sergio Regiulon and Emerson Royal will be part of the back four that protects Hugo Lloris’ goal, but what about the centre-backs?
We think Eric Dier and Cristian Romero will pair up in the heart of the defence. It’s time for Romero to start playing regularly, while Davinson Sanchez started at Wolves so he will probably be replaced by Dier.
In midfield, it would be great to see Tanguy Ndombele keep improving his fitness and form – but having played 90 minutes in midweek it’s unlikely he will start here. We’re more likely to see the familiar midfield trio of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oliver Skipp and Dele Alli.
That protective base will give a front three of Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and the returning Lucas Moura licence to attack – although Nuno might reward Brian Gil with a start if he’s feeling adventurous.
Here’s our predicted XI to face Arsenal – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments section below.
There is no way would I pick Ndombele to play for Spurs especially against Arsenal.
Hasn’t anyone else noticed that every time someone touches him he just falls over.
To be honest he lets men down for even ladies who play football have more about them than this disgusting fairy of a man.
Just sell him. He was responsible for the two goals that Wolves scored the other night.
If we had a Capt. Like Roy Keane then Ndombele would be frightened to go into the dressing room after such a performance.
Maybe we should have sold Harry. He doesn’t look like he’s fully checked in. I hate gunner fans, but you have to say the team looks proper now.
