Tottenham’s South American quartet are expected to be available for Sunday’s trip to Newcastle United, according to the London Evening Standard.

There had been concerns over Argentina duo Cristian Romero and Giovani Lo Celso, Colombia’s Davinson Sanchez and Brazil’s Emerson Royal after confusion during the last international break.

Romero, Lo Celso and Sanchez were all forced to quarantine in Croatia and missed Spurs games as a result of playing for their countries.

Pandemic restrictions has since loosened, but the players mentioned still featured in international fixtures on Thursday evening, leading to talk they may not be back in time to face Newcastle.

However, the London Evening Standard claims all four of them could play a part at St James’ Park having already travelled back to the UK.

Nuno Espirito Santo will be hoping Romero and Royal in particular will be fit to start against Newcastle – the pair impressed last time out when Spurs beat Aston Villa 2-1.

Sanchez and Lo Celso are more likely to be on the bench, but the latter could prove useful as an impact substitute.
