Tottenham’s three-match winning run was ended on Thursday evening following a 1-0 defeat to Dutch outfit Vitesse in the Conference League.

Maximilian Wittek’s second-half volley was enough to separate the sides as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side slipped to third in the group.

Pierluigi Gollini, 5 – Hardly had a save to make and should have done better with the goal.

Ben Davies, 6 – Captained the side and was steady.

Davinson Sanchez, 6 – Didn’t do too much wrong, although some of his clearances were sloppy.

Joe Rodon, 6 – Decent in the air, but didn’t exactly put any pressure on Christian Romero or Eric Dier for a Premier League place.

Japhet Tanganga, 6 – Back in the side for the first time since the north London derby and performed decently at right-back. Got forward well, but his final ball was quite poor.

Harry Winks, 4 – Kept it simple, but looks lost as a player right now.

Giovani Lo Celso, 5 – Showed some moments of quality, one of which saw him burst from midfield and pick out Gil for his chance, but still needs to show more.

Bryan Gil, 5 – Struck the bar with a lovely curling effort in the second-half, but didn’t track back for Vitesse’s goal.

Dele Alli, 4 – His touch and range of passing just simply isn’t good enough right now and he looked off the pace.

Steven Bergwijn, 4 – Had one chance to get into the box and make a something happen but he wasted it.

Dane Scarlett, 4 – Put himself about, but given a hopeless task playing up front on his own. Fed off scraps throughout the evening with the more experienced players around him letting him down.

Substitutes:

Dilan Markanday, 6 – Replaced Scarlett with 16 minutes left and showed more than most of his teammates in his brief cameo.

  1. If we don’t Get a result at West Ham on Sunday,Nuno deserves and should be shown the door.A gamble that failed badly.Fielding a totally different side should be forbidden and a lack of respect for the Competition and the opposition.

  2. What fools spurs fans are. They continue to blame managers and their best players but refuse to lay the blame where it belongs. While spurs fans are now paying the 2nd highest season ticket prices in the league if not Europe Daniel levy has a net worth of 1 billion and Lewis well he is doing ok thanks. Not one penny of their money has went into the club instead the rape the fans every chance they get. Like the saying goes a fool and his money are easily parted. Well done Vitesse.

  3. Not one player out there tonight deserves anything but stick. Dele, Lo Celso, Bergwijn and Winks should all have stood out above the rest, but not one did, no wonder they find themselves in the second team, in fact Dele is the laziest player I’ve ever watched, give it a season or two and he’ll be lucky if he’s playing Championship football, he won’t be anywhere near the Premiership, he’s not good enough. It just goes to prove how bad our squad is, Levy has to take the blame for some of that, if he continues to sign inadequate players, that’s what will happen again and again. Start buying quality and out this lot, not one should be anywhere near our first team.

      • What a fool Daniel levy has made you. Your squad is that good you have no 2nd striker. Your star player wants to leave along with how many others. West ham will beat you at the weekend because that is the spurs way I have witnessed it for years. They will want it more because these spurs players don’t love the club anymore they are weak.

  4. None of this team , on this showing, deserves to be in the first 11.. no clue. No shots on note poor passing and ball control. School boy stuff Ali / winks out Imo

  5. You cannot play a bunch of players and turn them into a well oiled unit functioning against a 1st team match fit .We looked like 11 strangers .They was beatable with Kane Son on the bench .The sad fact WHam have to play let’s see who they leave out

  6. Agree with most of the comments.
Levy’s recruitment policy is appalling. Over 80 per cent of our buys have never kicked a ball in England prior to us signing them. This is in stark contrast to our big six rivals. It is why we can’t sell Kane as the money will be wasted on punts

  7. Harry Winks and Alli Dele and Bergjewin must be sold in January they are hopeless.
Please get Adama Traore in place of Bergjewin
I have enough with Dele and don’t want to watch him playing anymore

  8. Some may think that experience played a bit of factor on the loss, but let’s be real…Vitesse wanted it more. This is not the first time it’s happened this season, or any season as of late for that matter. Dele who honestly was a starter a season or so ago is frail and out of form and needs to leave. Winks, Lol Celso, Bergjewin (or however you spell it), Eric dier, Ben Davies, plus more need to hit the door. Someone mentioned they need to invest in quality players instead of bringing in the likes of Bryan Gil, and expecting a huge turnaround. He’s not a Messi or Ronaldo impact player. Levy needs to be kicked out of the chair as well and get someone who will buy quality over quantity and truly build. Not just fill roster slots
