Lucas Moura’s second-half header was enough to send spurs through to the quarter finals of the Carabao Cup.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men were just 22 minutes away from going to another penalty shoot-out, but Moura fantastically headed home Emerson Royal’s inch-perfect cross to ensure a second consecutive 1-0 victory at Turf Moor.
Harry Kane and Giovani Lo Celso had earlier missed golden chances to break the deadlock before Moura came up with the crucial moment late in the second-half.
