Antonio Conte has asked Tottenham to re-sign Gareth Bale for a third time.

The Welshman spent last season on loan in north London and despite an up and down campaign under Jose Mourinho, the attacker scored 16 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions before returning to Real Madrid this summer.

A knee injury has restricted Bale to just three La Liga appearances this term, although the 32-year-old has recently returned to training and is in line to win his 100th cap for Wales against Belarus on Saturday in their crucial World Cup qualifier.

Despite his injury problems, El Chiringuito, as relayed by Fichajes, believe that Conte has asked Daniel Levy to bring Bale back to Spurs this January, just six months before his deal in the Spanish capital expires.

Madrid would happy to get Bale’s ludicrous wages off their bill, but whether he would fit into a Conte team is another question.

  1. Not sure if you would ask to sign a player if he might not fit into the managers way of playing ? So this maybe is make up reporting

  2. With 343 he has set up at Spurs so far bale could easy fit in on the right of the 3 which would limit he’s need to track back so much PLEASE BE TRUE
