Former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey may consider joining Tottenham in January, according to reports in Spain.

Ramsey has just over 18 months remaining on his contract with Juventus, for whom he was signed by current Spurs director of football Fabio Paratici on a free transfer in the summer of 2019.

The Welshman has made just five appearances across all competitions so far this season, so it would make sense for him to seek an exit as soon as possible.

And according to Spanish outlet Marca, Ramsey could have three Premier League clubs to choose from this winter: Tottenham, Arsenal and Newcastle United.

The link to Arsenal is obvious as Ramsey would probably have no qualms about re-joining his old club.

Spurs are likely being touted as a possible destination because of Paratici, while Newcastle’s new owners are bound to be targeting a statement signing in January.

In truth, we think Ramsey is more likely to end up at Arsenal or Newcastle than Tottenham – but stranger things have happened.

The 30-year-old is positionally similar to Dele Alli, so perhaps a move for Ramsey will depend on Dele’s future.
