Tottenham face a trip to Burnley in the Premier League this weekend aiming to bounce back from Thursday night’s embarrassing defeat to NS Mura in the Europa Conference League.

With a number of players failing to impress in Slovenia, Antonio Conte has several decisions to make regarding his team selection.

Hugo Lloris will be between the sticks as usual. Eric Dier and Ben Davies are bound to start, but who will be the third centre-back? We think it will be Davinson Sanchez, even though he wasn’t great on Thursday.

In midfield, Oliver Skipp returns from Premier League suspension but he also flattered to deceive against Mura, so he might be dropped for Harry Winks, who will partner Piere-Emile Hojbjerg.

The wing-backs are obvious choices – Sergio Reguilon and Emerson Royal should return to the line-up – while the front three will almost certainly consist of Lucas Moura, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.

It’s unclear whether the likes of Steven Bergwijn and Giovanio Lo Celso will be fit enough to make the bench.

Here’s our predicted XI to face Burnley – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments section below.

  1. Sanchez?! “Wasnt great” on Thursday?! You’re having a laugh surely? No chance of starting and if he does (ever again) then I don’t think Conte’s as clever as I think he is.

  2. Winks for skipp are you having a laugh skip was our best player in a poor team performance against mura,do you actually no what your talking about bah

  3. Scottish Y, Tanganga makes mistakes as well. Probably would have got himself sent off had he played on Thursday. What you’ve got to realise is there is not a lot of difference in the quality of the players in defence at the moment. And Conte is giving each of them a chance so they cannot say they did not get an opportunity under him. But Conte made a mistake placing Sanchez as a left back.
