Tottenham return to Premier League action on Thursday when Antonio Conte takes his depleted squad to Leicester.
It’ll be Spurs’ first game since they beat Norwich 11 days ago, with the club suffering from a Covid-19 outbreak in recent days.
Conte didn’t reveal which players tested positive for the virus, but the Tottenham coach did confirm that nine players went down ill, although some have returned to training but won’t start.
Based on the video that Hayters put out ahead of the Rennes game which was meant to be played last Thursday, here’s the team that we think Conte will be forced to start.
Hugo Lloris was among those in training and should keep his place, with Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez, Japhet Tanganga and Harry Kane the other four survivors from the Norwich win.
Therefore, Matt Doherty and Ryan Sessegnon could make their first Premier League starts of the season, joining of Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele, Steven Bergwijn and Dele Alli, who could all get a rare start in the league.
Here’s our predicted XI to face Leicester – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments section below.
Starting XI: Lloris, Tanganga, Dier, Sanchez, Doherty, Winks, Ndombele, Sessegnon, Alli, Bergwijn, Kane.
