Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez is on Napoli’s list of potential centre-back signings in January, according to reports in Italy.
Earlier on Saturday, we relayed word from Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb claiming Lazio are keeping tabs on Steven Bergwijn ahead of a possible swoop next month.
And now, Napoli have become the latest Serie A side to be linked with a Spurs player.
Another Italian publication, Corriere dello Sport, believes Sanchez is among a group of centre-backs Napoli are looking at.
The Azzurri have just sold Kostas Manolas to Olympiacos and so they are apparently searching for a replacement centre-back.
Sanchez is said to be of interest alongside others – but will Tottenham be willing to let him go?
The Colombian has struggled for form for some time but now but seems to be a starter under Antonio Conte, until Cristian Romero returns from injury at least.
With Romero’s hamstring problem in mind, January might be a bad time for Spurs to let Sanchez leave, but this link could certainly crop up again next summer.

Getting rid of Sanchez now would be daft when a) he’s about to enter his peak years b) we dont have great cover there if rodon isnt going to feature and romero is injured c) he’s been improving under conte and d) we have more pressing areas to address than centreback right now.
When i hear pundits saying we need more centrebacks (michael bridge just said today we need 2 in january) I genuinely dont know if they are trying to sabotage us or if they just dont have a clue what theyre talking about.
We need steel, passing and composure in midfield next to hojbjerg. That will improve our defence more than even 3 new centrebacks will. We need a midfield playmaker to make us more potent in attack. We need a wide attacker who can score and create to allow us to play 343, 443 or 4231 as tactically required (352 isnt guaranteed to win every game).
If we could get Insigne and Kessie on almost free transfers we will still need someone like Barella who wont come cheap.
I suspect Ndombele will leave soon as not a Conte player and Lo Celso is such a sick note that i dont think he will ever get a big enough run of games to even get near his potential. I see Lo Celso like lamela, a quality luxury player who is good to have as a tactical option when hes fit but cant be relied upon to build a team around. Ndombele cant run the length of himself.
