Tottenham face Chelsea in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi final on Tuesday, hoping to move a step closer to reaching the final of the competition for the second year running.

Cristian Romero (hamstring), Ryan Sessegnon (muscle) and Steven Bergwijn (calf) remain the only absentees for Antonio Conte, although the Spurs boss said in his press conference that he’s waiting on the results of two Covid-19 PCR tests ahead of the game at Stamford Bridge.

Conte didn’t reveal the names of the two players, but reporter Alasdair Gold left Eric Dier out of his predicted team for the game, which suggests that he might be one.

If Dier is unavailable, it could allow Joe Rodon to make his first appearance since the defeat to Mura and first domestic start since April.

We think that will be one of two changes from the victory over Watford on New Year’s Day, with Oliver Skipp making way for Harry Winks.

Here’s our predicted XI to face Chelsea – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments section below.

Lloris, Sanchez, Rodon, Davies, Royal, Winks, Hojbjerg, Reguilon, Lucas, Son, Kane.

  1. Spurs really need to buy new central defender urgent it would be no.point to wait till last minute
In the past 7 years Spurs always buy at last minute as I never see Spurs buy in first or second week in January even in August that is Spurs culture

  2. It’s zero to do with culture, Rita. Just Levy trying to squeeze money from every deal. He hasn’t earned his reputation for nothing. Profit above everthing, NFL over football, ego over progress…

  3. Keith, I bet you that we will end up with no transfers in at all. Outs maybe. Levy is going to do the same mistake as the Jap defender who ended up going to Arsenal. If he keeps this up we can tell Kessie bye bye and he will off to Spain.
