Tottenham are now close to signing Wolves winger Adama Traore, according to The Athletic.

Traore has just 18 months left on his contract at Molineux and, for that reason, Wolves look set to cash in this month.

The Athletic claims Wolves have already rejected a £15 million offer from Spurs, but the two clubs are now said to be close to agreeing a fee, thought to be nearer to £20 million.

It is believed Traore has no intention of extending his Wolves deal, which has allowed Tottenham to swoop for a relatively low price.

The report goes on to say that Spurs are trying to strengthen in attack this month but Traore could be used as a right-wing back.

That means the Spaniard will provide competition for the likes of Son Heung-min, Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura, as well as Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty.

Wherever he plays, Traore will certainly give Tottenham more attacking thrust, and the Londoners will try to make use of his dribbling ability to get at opponents.

  1. Still time for the poisonous dwarf to torpedo the whole deal.
Having said that, am I the only one to think that this guy is very limited?
Granted as strong as an ox and has the pace of a cheetah, but his finishing and crossing are just plain awful.
Some people rave about him stating that he is unplayable. If that were the case, how is it that none of the “big boys” are after him, his transfer fee is relatively low and he has only in the past played for average clubs?
    All very strange.
Perhaps not quite made out to be what he really is.

  2. I love seeing Adama putting on Spurs jersey,
He may be poor in crossing and his finishing may also be awful,
But what am assure of him is his strength, power, pave, and running,
    Tottenham really need source player,
Because whenever we played teams that have strong players it always difficult for us to triumph,
Seeing Eden Hazard will also makes sense,
The fear will always be there, go for him Levi

    • U r thick being strong n fast has nuthing to do with what we need good crossing passing n another goal threat is what we need n traore is not that guy

  3. I know Spurs talk too much about getting new central defender midfielder and striker but nothing happened so far that is Spurs typical
I doubt that Spurs will get Adama Traore until it is confirmed
Honestly what point Spurs have Paratici waste of money to pay his wages
