Tottenham are eager to let Giovani Lo Celso leave as part of a swap deal before the end of the month, according to The Athletic.

Lo Celso was left out of the Spurs squad that travelled to Chelsea for Sunday’s 2-0 Premier League defeat at Stamford Bridge.

And now it seems the Argentine’s immediate future at the club is in doubt.

The Athletic claims Spurs are trying to shift Lo Celso in exchange for another player, though the report does not say which clubs – or players – the Londoners might be in talks with.

Football London notes that Sevilla are keen on Lo Celso, but it is unclear whether they will offer a player to swap places with the 25-year-old.

Meanwhile, The Athletic adds that Tanguy Ndombele and Dele Alli could also leave by the time the transfer window closes.

This would mean there would be even less creativity in Tottenham’s midfield, something they could resolve by looking for a playmaker to exchange for Lo Celso.

Is it a stretch to propose a return for Erik Lamela? Yes, it probably is. But it will be interesting to see who comes in if Lo Celso leaves.

  1. How can the exit of three players that can’t even get in the squad reduce the creativity at Spurs? They obviously don’t give us any creativity even on the rare occasions that they are called upon or they would be in the squad, such is our dearth of talent.
If it were me I would part company with NDOMBELE and Dele, but keep LoCelso. When he plays for Argentina he controls the play excellently so there us untapped club talent there!
The other pair just think they are something special without working at it, both are wage stealers and must move on permanently!!!!
