Tottenham remain in talks with Juventus over a double deal for Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski, according to Sky Sports.

News of Spurs’ interest in Kulusevski first broke on Friday when The Athletic reported the Londoners are discussing a loan move, with an obligation to buy, for the 21-year-old Swedish winger.

And it turns out Tottenham are also talking to Juventus about Bentancur.

Sky Sports claims the clubs are in talks over a loan move, though Juventus – who have already rejected an offer for Bentancur from Aston Villa – want to sell the midfielder permanently.

Whether Spurs are willing to splash out on the 24-year-old Uruguay international remains to be seen, but there will be a real sense of frustration if Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici fail to bring in at least one of Bentancur or Kulusevski.

Sky’s report says Kulusevski has been identified as an alternative to previous targets Adama Traore and Luis Diaz, who are set to join Barcelona and Liverpool respectively.

It looks set to be a busy couple of days at Hotspur Way – but will there be a happy ending to the transfer window?

  1. Same old window all rumours they then sign for other clubs how are we going to compete get the deals done so we can get that champion league football and eventually challenge for title as well

  2. Perfectly seen Dave; either we are not interested and it is all paper talk, or the players are not interested in joining us, or if the previous scenarios are not the case, then Levy will balls the whole deal up in traditional fashion.

  3. I have already told you the Spurs fans that Spurs WILL not buy 3 new players.
    Why not get Jesse Lingard
Spurs seriously need new Billionarie to take over ENIC then Levy go

  4. While levy is there,we will always be chasing the alternative player. He is too busy amassing his own portfolio. You buy third best, you win nothing, after 61 years of supporting spurs I have had enough. We never get the players we really need.Low Ball Levy makes sure of that.Enic are a joke in football. The fans deserve better. After all, they are the club that keeps it going regardless of the bad use of money spent on flops. We always buy players who perform really good against what we have. After they arrive, they turn into rubbish 9 times out of 10.Why?

  5. As long as Levy is in charge we are going through the same motion with him seldom he buys a player without bargaining for last penny at the end he pays more for a lot of players instead for one star player.
