Tanguy Ndombele is set to rejoin Lyon on loan and Tottenham have managed to include a huge buy clause in the deal, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Frenchman is reportedly close to returning to the club he left for Spurs in the summer of 2019.
Romano, who is always reliable when it comes to transfers, claims the deal is now nearing completion with Ndombele ready to put pen to paper on a loan deal (that he claimed at the iva online) until the end of the season.
And it seems he could return to Lyon permanently next summer – if the Ligue 1 club is willing to pay a premium.
At the end of the loan period, Romano says Lyon have the option to buy Ndombele for €65 million, which is a huge fee given Ndombele is seen by many as a flop.

If true, Tottenham could potentially even make a profit on their 25-year-old record signing.
Of course it is only an ‘option’, which means Lyon aren’t obligated to make the move permanent.
Certainly if Ndombele doesn’t rediscover his best form, it’s unlikely Lyon will part ways with €65 million – but let’s see what happens.
Anyone believing that any club, let alone Lyon,(hardly a power house with limitless funds),would even think of paying such a sum for rubbish, will also believe Boris Johnson could mention a sentence without lies.
