Tottenham are sweating on the fitness of three players ahead of Wednesday’s meeting with Southampton in the Premier League, according to Hampshire Live.
Antonio Conte was without Eric Dier (thigh), Oliver Skipp (groin) and Japhet Tanganga (knee) for Saturday’s 3-1 victory over Brighton in the FA Cup fourth round.
And Hampshire Live claims those three players could remain out for the Southampton clash, with Spurs apparently facing an ‘anxious wait’ on the trio’s availability.
They even go as far as saying Dier is ‘expected to remain out’ with his thigh problem.
All of that said, Conte is yet to give an injury update since the Brighton game, so we are yet to get confirmation as to whether any of the absentees will return.
Thankfully, Cristian Romero’s departure midway through the second half of the Brighton game was seemingly just cramp.
So even if Dier and Tanganga do remain sidelined on Wednesday, Tottenham should still be able to line up with a relatively strong back three consisting of Romero, Davinson Sanchez and Ben Davies.
And with Skipp possibly absent again, perhaps we will see January arrival Rodrigo Bentancur make his first start for the club in central midfield.
Levy, Lewis and ENIC OUT!!

I should not rush them back. Those injuries can be difficult sometimes and if you try and force your way back you can do more damage than harm. Good luck.
