Antonio Conte highlighted Harry Kane’s importance by saying that he would force the striker to play even if he had “one leg” when asked for a fitness update ahead of Tottenham’s trip to Burnley on Wednesday night.
Kane took a knock to his back in the latter stages of Spurs’ victory over Manchester City on Saturday and was seen limping when doing his post-match interviews.
But Conte revealed that Kane is fit for the game at Turf Moor – and joked that the frontman simply has to play whatever his condition.
🗣 "He has to play, also if he has one leg I ask him to play." 🤣
