Antonio Conte has given his Premier League press conference ahead of Tottenham’s trip to Leeds this weekend.

The Spurs boss apologised for his emotional outburst following the midweek defeat at Burnley and denied he was close to handing in his resignation after the game.

What’s more, Conte revealed he has spoken to Daniel Levy and suggested they are on the same page when it comes to the club’s objectives.

He also gave an update on Rodrigo Bentancur, who will miss the Leeds game with an ankle injury but should only be out for a short time. Oliver Skipp also remains sidelined.

  1. Obviously there was something lost in translation in the prior news conference. It was an emotional outburst, and he actually did well not to throw anybody under the bus. That however came the cost of him taking all the blame and there lies the confusion. The words didn’t come out right, and how could you expect them to? English is certainly not his first language, and aside from last week’s comments, he’s done well.
