Jack Clarke ended his three year wait for a league goal by netting late on to secure a crucial victory for Sunderland tonight.

The 21-year-old, who hasn’t found the net since scoring for Leeds back on New Year’s Day 2019, struck in the dying seconds of the Black Cats’ victory over Fleetwood in League One.

And it was well worth the wait, with Clarke cutting inside before hammering a right-footed effort into the top corner to seal a 3-1 win.
