Gareth Bale was the matchwinner for Wales as they moved 90 minutes away from qualifying for a first World Cup since 1958.

The flying winger scored a sensational free-kick to open the scoring before netting another brilliant goal to double Wales’ lead against Austria.

But Bale owed plenty to Ben Davies for his second after his neat first touch allowed the attacker to fire a stunning effort into the top corner.

Davies own goal set up an anxious finish to the game in Cardiff, but Wales held on to move into the play off final.

Watch below as Davies and Bale combine for the second.
