Troy Parrott registered just his third international goal to earn Republic of Ireland a 1-0 victory over Lithuania.
The Tottenham forward’s only other goals for his country came against Andorra almost two years ago, but Parrott was back on the scoresheet tonight.
And it was worth the wait for the 20-year-old, who hammered home an unstoppable strike from distance in the 97th minute to spark wild scenes at the Aviva Stadium.
