Dele Alli doubled Tottenham’s lead against Manchester City in an excellent first half display from the hosts at White Hart Lane.
An Aleksandar Kolarov own goal had given Spurs an early lead. The City defender inadvertently volleyed a wayward clearance past goalkeeper Claudio Bravo.
And Alli was on hand to score a second, latching onto a superb Heung-Min Son pass to stroke the ball home minutes before the break. It was the midfielder’s second goal of the season.
