Tottenham will be looking to set up an FA Cup 5th Round clash with Norwich City later this month as they look to make it past Southampton in their 4th Round replay on Wednesday after a 1-1 draw in the first game last Saturday.

Jose Mourinho’s men will be in confident mood after their impressive victory over ten man Manchester City last time out, but the hero from that victory Steve Bergwijn, is ineligible after he wasn’t signed before the first match and therefore is unable to feature here.

Ben Davies, Moussa Sissoko and Harry Kane all remain sidelined for Spurs, whilst Dele Alli (ankle) is being assessed after Raheem Sterling’s nasty tackle in the first-half against City.

With no Premier League match for 11 days, we think Mourinho will make changes, but name a very strong side against an inform Southampton, who’ve lost just two of their last ten matches in all competitions.

Toby Alderweireld could get a well-deserved rest in place of Jan Vertonghen, who’ll partner Davinson Sanchez, whilst Ryan Sessegnon is likely to return at left-back after sitting out the 2-0 win against the champions on Sunday.

In midfield, Tanguy Ndombele looks set to make his first start since the defeat at Southampton on New Year’s Day alongside Eric Dier in a two-man midfield.

Moving forward, Alli’s ankle problem could see him rested, meaning Erik Lamela most likely start, with Giovani Lo Celso pushing into a more attacking role – with Heung Min Son coming in off the left and Lucas Moura upfront.

Here’s our predicted XI to face Southampton – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments section below.

XI: Lloris, Aurier, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Sessegnon, Ndombele, Dier, Lamela, Lo Celso, Son, Lucas.

  1. I would start Winks with Tanguy and Gio further up. Auirer gets the day off and move Tanganga over to the right. This os a game ripe to slip Troy in to add a focal point to the offense. Playing the Wingbacks high and the wingers narrow should lend support to the kid upfront.
