It’s easy to think that you’ve handed over the advantage and are on a hiding to nothing, when you make the long journey for an FA Cup replay, but it’s still possible to pull a victory out of the bag.

Ahead of our match at Leeds tonight, I’ve trawled through the archives to find the last 5 instances of Tottenham winning an away FA Cup replay.

2007/08 – Third Round Replay – Reading 0 Tottenham Hotspur 1

Having drawn 2-2 at White Hart Lane just a few days after beating Reading 6-4 at home in the league, the two sides met for a third time within a three weeks in the FA Cup replay at the Madejski stadium.

Spurs won the game 1-0 courtesy of a Robbie Keane goal (remember him?) in the 15th minute. Here’s some shaky footage of the goal, as filmed from the stands.

2004/05 – Fifth Round Replay – Nottingham Forest 0 Tottenham Hotspur 3

A 1-1 home draw saw Spurs travel to the City Ground to meet Championship outfit Nottingham Forest, who were then managed by Gary Megson.

After a goalless first half, Martin Jol’s side eventually got the win that their pressure deserved, with goals from Pamarot, Keane and Mido.

1995/96 – Fourth Round Replay – Wolves 0 Tottenham Hotspur 2

A terrible error from Dean Austin had seen Wolves to a 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane, but Tottenham were able to pull off a 2-0 win at Molineux, thanks to strikes from Ronny Rosenthal and Teddy Sheringham.

1994/95 – Fifth Round Replay – Southampton 2 Tottenham Hotspur 6

Jurgen Klinsmann was on target as Spurs played out a 1-1 home draw, setting up a replay that all Tottenham fans will remember.

2-0 down at half-time, Tottenham stubbed out their fags and got to work. Ronny Rosenthal scored two screamers to send the ball into extra time, before rounding off a hat-trick. Spurs then added to their tally with further goals from Sheringham, Anderton and Barmby to complete an extraordinary win.

1984/85 – Third Round Replay – Charlton Athletic 1 Tottenham Hotspur 2

Garth Crooks was the scorer in a 1-1 home draw, before goals from Tony Galvin and Mark Falco gave Spurs a 2-1 victory over Charlton.
