On This Day In Spurs History: 26th May
1962 – On this day in 1962 we were on another end of season tour and on this occasion were in Israel, playing a Tel Aviv select XI. Spurs won the match 2-1, with goals from Dave Mackay and Eddie Clayton.
1968 – Today is the birthday of Steve Sedgley. Signed as a defensive midfielder, Sedgley was also able to play in central defence, which is the position in which he started the 1991 FA Cup final. Sedgley made a total of 211 appearances for Spurs, scoring 11 goals.
