It’s rare for Spurs not to have a midweek match these days, so with the senior side taking a break from action, the spotlight fell on the youngsters as a Spurs XI defeated Crystal Place 4-2 on Tuesday, with new signing Bongani Khumalo making his first appearance in a Tottenham shirt.
Spurs’ strikes were shared between Cameron Lancaster and Ryan Mason after a frenetic first twenty minutes which saw four goals fly in. Lancaster opened the scoring after six minutes but Palace drew level just two minutes later. Lancaster added his second with a header before Mason made it 3-1.
Five minutes after the break, Mason scored his second from the penalty spot and was only denied a hat-trick later on by the woodwork.
Mirko Ranieri was in fine form in goal for Spurs and it was his saves that kept the score at 4-1 before Palace added a late consolation goal.
Did he look any good? I think that’s what we’d all like to know.
Yes, how ridiculous not even mentioning how the guy did. Especially when he’s the headline. Come on you Bongo!
You’re not a spurs fan and you weren’t there. You’re just rewritting something you read elsewhere. True or true?
