Only one place to start today and that’s with Spurs’ historic win in the San Siro. Milan coach Masimiliano Allegri had identified Aaron Lennon and Peter Crouch as the main dangers yesterday and so it proved as the two combined to seal the 80th minute winner.
Speaking on the club website, Harry Redknapp said: “It was a fantastic performance and the lads were absolutely brilliant. I thought we were by far and away the better team in the first half.
“We knew the storm would come in the second half, we knew that the pressure would come and it’s hard not to drop deep when you are put under pressure.
“But the lads were magnificent at the back and we caught them on the break, scored the goal and it was a well-deserved win.”
There were heroes right through the team last night and Gomes played his part with two great saves from close range headers.
Crouch, who continued his great form in the Champions League added: “It was a great game and I thought we deserved the win. I thought we limited them to few chances and that we were the better side.”
What else can be said? It was just a great night and let’s hope the boys finish the job at White Hart Lane in three weeks time. You’ve probably watched them five or six times already, but here’s the highlights.

Agreed Harry, eveyone deserves to be praised to the hilt. Our first half performance was outstanding. The understanding, passes & marking were all top notch.
Don’t ever treat the return match complacently as AC will change their game plan somewhat. Suggest you study the clip of our 2nd have performance & see where we need to improve.
