Conflicting stories are emerging over the fitness of Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of Spurs’ Champions League quarter-final tie against Real Madrid.

The former Manchester United player recently missed two of his side’s games before returning for the second leg of their last 16 match against Lyon. However, he limped out of the action during the weekend’s Madrid derby and will miss Portugal’s friendlies against Chile and Finland.

The Real Madrid prognosis, as shown on their website says that Ronaldo will be out for,”between two to three weeks, depending on his progress”.

That would make him, ‘touch and go’ for the first leg, but Tottenham’s Tim Sherwood, speaking on Talksport had a different opinion.

“He didn’t look like he had a hamstring problem to me. It looked like he had two friendly games for Portugal which he might want to get out of.” Sherwood said.

So make up your own mind, but personally my money’s on the Sherwood theory.

  1. Pathetic how we feel the need to comment like this. As a club we talk too much at times.

You wouldn’t see other clubs acting like this…..poor form.

let’s just concentrate on trying to win the match. We have such a small club mentality at times.

  2. WHAT`S UP WITH PEOPLE LIKE YOU WHYCOMMENT ! IT`S A BIT OF FUN IT`S ABOUT TELLING ARSE HOLES LIKE RONALDO JUST BECAUSE HE`S BEEN WITH MUNURE UTD AND REAL MADRID AND HE HAS A DRAWER FULL OF MEDAL`S THAT HE THINK`S SMALL FRY LIKE SPURS WILL BELIEVE ANYTHING , THIS GUY WHO CHEATS ON A FULL TIME BASIS LIKE FALLING DOWN AT A PUSH OF A FEATHER AND REMEMBER THE WINK OF AN EYE THAT ROONEY ACCEPTED WHEN PLAYING FOR HIS ADOPTED COUNTRY OF ENGLAND

  3. Sherwood sounds right to me.. It’s funny how these sick-notes flood in when players are called up to play for their countries when they don’t want too (or rather there club doesn’t want them too). I’m sure Harry will prepare the team for whether he’s there or not..

  4. Why comment is right tho. Sherwood is trying to make himself look clever, but instead making himself look giddy and inexperienced in these situations. You dont have to be a genius to work out this ronaldo/mourinho hamstring theory, but whats he doing calling his bluff on talksport? Trying to earn some brownie points? Let the manager take a mental note and deal with it. It wouldnt happen at the big clubs, they keep everything in-house which creates a stronger mentality.
