Just days after signing a new contract, reports have emerged that William Gallas has broken down in training and will be sent for a scan on a knee injury.

There’s no official word yet from the club as yet and this could well be no more than a ‘scare’ along the lines of the hamstring problem that the player picked up a couple of weeks ago.

Coming soon after the latest bad news on Johnathan Woodgate, this underlines just how bare Spurs are at the back. Dawson and Bassong would be the two fit centre backs if Gallas joins Kaboul on the sidelines. along with long term victims Woodgate and King.

Woody’s latest setback could be the final straw so expect a flurry of activity and some more transfer rumours with regard to new central defenders for 2011-12

  1. I’m guessing Harry isn’t quite as worried as is being made out – if he is seriously concerned about our lack of defenders then it begs the question why have we just loaned out a Central defender (who’s played at the World Cup) to Preston ?.

  2. He wouldn’t be any good to us in the Champions league as he’s not registered…

Hopefully, one of Harry’s blags just to keep Jose on his toes..
