The big team news is that Gareth Bale has been pronounced fit for tonight’s game and is likely to take up his usual place in the starting line up.
Starting at the back, William Gallas is doubtful so you would think that he will take a place on the bench. The back four therefore will contain our only four fit defenders.
In midfield we can expect Harry to go back to 4-5-1 with Crouch up front and VDV tucked in behind. Tom Huddlestone is available again, but after his performances against AC Milan it’s likely that Sandro will be preferred.
Here’s our team to face Real Madrid tonight. What would yours be?
gallas will def start.we need him to.he looked fine in training last night and unless his leg is half hanging off the guy will play.apart from that thats the team ill play.will lennon and bale having to do a hell of a lot of work running back and defending.cant wait
Gallas will be fit for this game for sure. Otherwise, spot on.
I can’t argue with that lineup. I think Gallas may come in midway through the 2nd half as a “super sub” depending on whether or not Spurs have been able to contain Madrid.
Will be nice to see THudd back in the starting 11, especially in the upcoming league matches.
I completely agree with the formation as we’ll need width more than anything. Even if Gallas doesn’t start, Bassong is more than capable of doing a decent job. Defoe would be an ideal candidate as we’ll need a quick player up front but if there’s been one sure thing this season it’s that Crouch has performed in CL. A confident Sandro, strong width play, a motivated Luka and a strong back line and we can take this. COYS!
gallas in, the rest of the team picks itself. crouch is the best of a bad bunch and deserves to start considering defoe’s woeful form of late. maybe bring the dwarf on in the second half
I would love to see
Gomes
Gallas,Dawson,Bassong
Lennon, Huddlestone, Sandro,Bale
Van Der Vaart, Modric
Crouch.
But realise that tonight is not the match to try a new formation.
agree with the starting 11 accept gallas will take Bassong’s place. Huddlestone to come on as a second half sub for VDV as we look to protect our narrow lead. 2-1 spurs!!
As we gird up our loins and get ready for battle
the media says “theres no-way that Jose’s cage will be rattled”
they think we’ll be slaughtered, and cower like cattle
But we’ll send em right up shits creek without a paddle!!
Already at the Bernebau, we’ve loaded up the weapons

Can Ramos Handle Gareth?I Guess we’ll soon see
Or will he be another Maicon………Can someone call a TAXI please?!?!?
“Get under there bloody skin” Screams Harry “niggle like a splinter”
Cant wait to see the Master Modders Pissin on the Winker
They think their one-of-the-greatest-teams, we’ll prove that their mistaken
Rafa will bedazzle them whilst Sandro F**ckin Rapes Em’
Super Spurs or Lilywhites no matter what you call em’
Support the boys through thick and thin, THE GLORYS more important
when the SPURS GO MARCHING IN TONIGHT, YOU BETTER BE AFRAID
YOU JUST CANT STOP THEM
THE BOYS FROM TOTTENHAM
THE BOYS FROM WHITE HEART LANE!!!!!
C.O.Y.M.F.S!!!
3 at the back Tobie?!?! Are you mental?! If Gallas is fit, he has to play, the rest of the team stays the same. Maybe Defoe on late, and possibly a little cameo from Thudd, like maybe a 30 yard screamer in the last few minutes. That would be nice.
So excited now. COYS Do US Proud. Believe!!
Gomes
Bassong,Gallas,Dawson, BAE
Lennon, Modric, Sandro,Bale
Van Der Vaart,
Crouch
That’s how i’d start… Hudd ready to come in for any midfielder… COYS… you’ve shown how weak you can be with the weak, BUT HOW STRONG U HAVE BEEN WITH THE STRONG … ALL SEASON SO FAR…. GO FOR IT !!!
