After the Hulk it’s the turn of the ‘Beast’ in the long line of players to be linked with a move to Spurs at the end of 2010-11.
The Beast is otherwise known as Sao Paulo’s Carlos Henrique Casemiro, who is only 19 but fits Spurs’ price bracket at a mere £5m. However, contrary to some reports, he plies his trade as a midfielder, not a striker and with only one season of first team football behind him, he is unlikely to be the man Tottenham turn to as the answer to their goal scoring problems.
You wonder sometimes where these stories come from and for Casemiro, there are no previous ties with Harry at West Ham or Portsmouth to take into account.
However, after the success of Sandro this season, a look at some more Brazilian youngsters could be on the horizon, but the arrival of the man they call The Beast looks to be a very long shot indeed.
If Dan the cash man thinks he can get a profit out of him he will have the deal done b4 i finish this.
Read this and thought you meant Brian Jensen from Burnley as a replacement for Gomes, can’t be any worse at the moment. Beeeeast!
You watch after months and months of speculation with Spurs signing this player and that player, we will more than likely sell Keane and poss Pav (because he may want to leave) and sign Bellamy, because that would just be Typical bloody Tottenham Hotspur!
Or worse, I can see it being Carlton Cole…..
