Spurs manager Harry redknapp believes that a ‘couple’ of top quality signings are needed if the club are to challenge for a Champions League place next season.
“Hopefully we can get one or two players in the summer and improve again for next year because it is going to be hard,” Harry is quoted as saying.
“We have a big squad but what we need is one or two players who will make the difference to us.
“Liverpool have done that with Luis Suarez, he is going to be a big player, and we need to find one or two to keep us pushing for the top four.”
The manager also believes that with Liverpool’s improvement under Kenny Dalglish, the race for Champions League football is now between six teams.
“Manchester United are certainties, Chelsea are certainties and you have to fancy Man City next year as they are going to spend another £100million,” he concluded.
“You also have to fancy Arsenal, because they have been there every year, and Liverpool are a great club with great tradition and they will be back stronger with Kenny (Dalglish) next year.
So are wholesale changes required for next season or is Harry right in his assessment that we are only two players away from challenging the top four next season?
Spurs need two strikers, a reliable keeper and Parker.
I think it may happen. With the right signings. top 4 Manc U, Manc C, Chelski and Spurs. Its time for the woolwich wanderers to move along.

WTH are you talking about. We need ONE stirker and kepper, maybe left back too, We definetly don’t need right back. we have rose, and ćorluka, not enven cb. And why would you buy 2 strikers for 4-4-1-1 formation.

A striker who can actually score goals in all types of games not just pushover teams is a must,cover/competition for Ekotto and a keeper to push Gomes in to shaping up or moving over,these have to be the bare essentials.If we got Hulk and Falcao as well as the other positions mentioned and Parker on the cheap[well they are desperate are they not] i would think christmas and birthday had all come at once.
