While Harry Redknapp may not have given too many clues about our goalkeepers’ chances for next season, Brad Friedel is certain that he has come to White Hart Lane to make the number one position his own.
“I like what I heard coming out of Tottenham, they are a club on the up and it’s well documented that had I moved to Liverpool it would have been as a number two,” Brad told the press.
“I just felt that if I was to sign anywhere as a number two that would effectively be signing my retirement.
“I didn’t sign anywhere for the money, I signed to play and the chance to compete for my place with the exciting players.”
Looking ahead to next season, Friedel added, “I really feel Tottenham have the chance to get into that top four. I hope to be in the starting 11.”
Many Spurs fans will feel the same way as we head towards the start of the new campaign.
Definetely! Use him why we still can!
