In the last few months, Spurs have been linked with a host of European goalkeepers as a possible long term custodian for the number one jersey. However, reports today are suggesting that the club could be looking a little closer to home with a move for Watford goalkeeper Scott Loach.

Loach is still only 23 but his quality and potential as a keeper are clear and he has already been recognised with a call up to two full England squads. However, with Watford looking unlikely to make a return to the Premiership any time soon, this could be the time for him to make his move into England’s highest tier.

It’s believed that a number of Premiership clubs are interested but with Spurs having a potential long term vacancy as and when Brad Friedel hangs up his gloves, it’s thought that we are in pole position.

Loach has potential, there is no question of that, but does he have what it takes to become Tottenham’s long term number one?

  1. Arsene Wenger might leave Arsenal..?..

Will they replace him with a Manager who will either:-

    (1) buy British players?
    (2) give British youth a chance?

Wenger was over-rated and anti-english (for the vast majority of his time).

He should be commended by the French or Spanish FAs for services to their game
and for helping to cripple English National Team Sporting achievements.
