With such a settled side and the emergence of players such as Kyle Walker and Younes Kaboul, it seems increasingly unlikely that there will be too much transfer activity at White Hart Lane this January.
Predictably however, that hasn’t stopped the rumour mills and there are a couple of interesting names being touted around today.
Inter Milan’s Cristian Chivu is a 31 year old Romanian International with a great deal of experience behind him. A much travelled centre back, Chivu has played at AS Roma and at Ajax and to date has an impressive 75 caps for his country.
Elsewhere, if there are no obvious vacancies in a side, you can always create one by linking Aaron Lennon with a move to Juventus. It’s suggested today that Juve are looking to offer £8m plus Milos Krasic in January.
At 27, Krasic is three years older than Lennon and has a good record in Italy and in Russia, where he spent six years with CSKA Moscow. He has fallen out of favour at Juve however and with the Turin club looking to offload him, £8m plus Krasic for Aaron Lennon may be tempting, if a little unlikely.
Highly unlikely that we’ll even look at Chivu when we have Bassong,Gallas, and Dawson behind the current pairing of King and Kaboul.
HR would not sell Lennon either – everyone knows who we need to get rid of and Lennon isn’t on the list.
Only players we should be looking at are Cahil, Hoilett, or Damiao
We need to stop buying older players, although Parker and Brad have been exeptional, it is not the way ahead only a stop gap.
Take a look at Chelsea and see what happens when you have a team of old tossers.
Definately should have signed Leandro when we had the chance a year ago, but same old story levy wont spend the money, if we continue with this transfer policy it will come back to haunt us.
Torrequebrada hills apartment at £42 per night, stayed there for two weeks last year, brill how strange to see it on here.
