The prognoses on William Gallas and Sandro are in and it’s not good news for the pair who both suffered injuries in our 1-0 win over West Brom in the week.

“They both have tears,” Harry Redknapp said. “it’s difficult to know how long they will be out for.”

However, it seems clear that both players will miss most of this month’s action so could that precipitate an early move into the transfer market?

In the meantime, reports are coming through of an official bid from QPR for Christopher Samba and could those stories together with the latest batch of these injuries serve to spark our transfer window into life?

  1. Loosing Sandro is big, especially with Scotty being crocked. Livermore is not yet ready to step into their shoes. Kaboul would be a better option as DM if required.

  2. Go with Tommy Carroll tomorrow with Modders and if he impresses then use him instead of purchasing….I know he doesnt hold but I think he has enough about him to learn

    • i disagree. that would leave our midfield too lightweight. the way we are playing we need a strong hardworking defensive midfielder. carroll is great but plays a similar role to modric. from what it sounds like though i dont think scotty will be out for too long…

  3. I think our midfield is stretched right now, but you can’t sign a mf especially a holding one because we got 3 top class lads in Scotty, Sandro and Huddle. If we’re going to do anything we need to get F Jordan Rhodes from Huddersfield Town. I know he plays in League 1, but he’s 6-2, 21 years old and has scored 33 goals in the last 29 games. He’s should go around 8-12 mill, has first team experience, he’s young, is a tall striker and obviously got a scorers’ touch.
